Belfairs Woodland Centre visit

On Tuesday 28th June 2016 the year 6 children who didn’t go camping went on a trip to Belfairs woods. We were driven there by our very own Mrs Dyos-Smith. When we eventually arrived, we were greeted by a member staff and she told us our plan for the day.

In the morning we built dens but first we had to get ourselves into groups and then put gloves on to protect us from getting splinters. As we had finished putting on our gloves we had to pick a space to locate our dens in. About half an hour into building our dens we started to think about how we would get water if we were stuck in the wild.

Then in the afternoon we got to light fires. We also made trails for each other to follow in our groups, which was great fun. To end the day we took a trip to the gift shop. There were many things to choose from. (We all had a great time and loved every bit of the visit.)

We were all tired from our adventure.
