Billy’s Band!

On Monday 4th July we had great time as Billy’s Band joined us in our assemblies. They were led by the author of the acclaimed Billy’s Band books and professional musician, Dan Newell (billysband.co.uk). The children were able to see the trumpet, tuba and violin played and learnt a little about the different families of instruments. We then joined in with many musical activities. Years 3 and 4 were lucky enough to work more closely with the musicians in class workshops and gave a performance to family and friends at the end of the day.

Billy’s Band are also holding a family concert at St. Marys C of E Primary School, Boston Avenue, on the 15th July at 6pm. The concert will involve a performance, fun and lots of opportunities for the children to participate.
