Year 5 Greenwich Visit
It was a really exciting morning when year 5 boarded the train bound for the Planetarium in Greenwich. Having planned their routes and timetables for the day in maths everyone knew they had to be on time. Once there, a short walk around the Cutty Sark found them starting the climb uphill to the entrance. Once in total darkness, the show took them on a tour of the universe stopping at different planets to explore the possibility of other lifeforms. The children had time to explore the activity centre and galleries that explained the universe and time itself. Some even stopped to take the tourist picture of themselves standing on the Meridian Line before we headed back for our train home. With lunch in the park under the glorious September sun included, this was truly an out of this world school trip!
