Goalball

A new sport introduced to the school and the students of Porters Grange. On the 17th November five Year 6 pupils, who had never previously represented the school, went to take part in the borough Goalball tournament. With only a little amount of knowledge of the sport and minimal practice we managed to win the first game comfortably. We then played straight after that match, which seemed to be to our advantage as we also won that game. Two games into the tournament with two wins and the confidence of the three boys and two girls was high, and rightly so. We then had two games off before playing the team that went to go on and win the tournament. Maybe the combination of the games off and playing such a strong team resulted in our defeat – losing by one point. The students that took part should be very proud and pleased with their efforts - well done!
