Online Safety Day

On Wednesday 18th April, former police officer Gary Collard visited the school to talk about online safety. The online world is fast moving and forever changing and as a school we want to do all we can to ensure our pupils, parents and staff are as up to date with their knowledge and as safe as possible on the Internet.

Across the school day Gary gave online safety presentations to Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 and then after school it was the turn of the staff then parents and carers. All of the adults who attended the sessions said how useful they were and that they were surprised at how much they had learnt.

Later in the term, Gary will be returning to do a shorter version of his presentation to parents and carers. This time the session will be at the start of the school day. The date will be shared in a future newsletter.
