Southend Makes Music
The Porters Grange Choir took part in Southend Makes Music on Monday 25th February and had the amazing experience of performing on stage to an audience of parents and friends.
We left school at 3pm and travelled by train to Westcliff Station, arriving at the theatre in time for a short rehearsal on stage before having a picnic tea in the café area.
After this we changed into our choir polo shirts and waited in the green room for our turn to perform.
Once on stage we sang 'Land of the Silver Birch' and a medley of Abba songs, which the audience loved. We then went up to the 'Gods' to watch the performances of other schools. It was an exciting and memorable day.
