A Festive Delight: Year 4's Mince Pie Making Workshop
This week, our Year 4 students were treated to a festive experience they’ll surely remember—an exciting mince pie-making workshop, with a little help from their parents and carers. The event, hosted by our talented school chef, brought families together for fun, creativity, and of course, plenty of delicious treats!
The chef David led the group step-by-step through the process, teaching them how to roll the pastry, fill it with rich, spiced mincemeat, and add those finishing touches that make every mince pie a masterpiece.
Each table was a flurry of activity, with little hands rolling out dough, cutting pastry shapes, and filling trays with delicious mincemeat. Each child took home their mince pies, ready to share with family at home.
The workshop wasn’t just about baking; it was an opportunity to build connections within our school community, celebrate the spirit of the season, and create lasting memories. We are grateful to David for making the event such a success and to all the parents and carers who joined in to make this festive occasion so special.
