Choir sing at Victoria Court Care Home

On Thursday 21st March, members of the choir from Porters Grange Primary School were invited to provide an afternoon’s entertainment for the residents at Victoria Court Care Home in Southend.  The children gladly accepted the invitation and following their lunch break, they made the short journey to the care home where they received a warm welcome from the wonderful staff.  The residents, who had been looking forward to the afternoon, were then treated to a choral recital of songs.  The residents enjoyed the afternoon and the experience for the children was both enlightening and exciting; in fact, they have already been invited back in the coming months and will be booking a Christmas recital.  It really was a joy to see some of the youngest and oldest members of the community to come together through music.
