Reception Family Reading Workshop

This week we held our second Reception Family Reading Workshop. We learnt about the importance of reading at home and school. We looked at how we teach Phase Two Phonics and the children joined us so we could practise with our decodable books. We ended the workshop with one of the children's favourite stories 'Shark in the Park' by Nick Sharatt. The children know the story well and it was lovely hearing them join in. Remember the library is open after school every Thursday or you can speak to the teachers at the door if you need further support with your child's reading journey.
